South Boundary Singers is inspired by the King’s Singers, Chanticleer, the Whiffenpoofs, a cappella groups like “Straight No Chaser” and “Cantus”, the “US Army Chorus”, and the “Cornell Glee Club”. Our musical program ranges from the Renaissance to the contemporary,  from sacred to secular, two to eight voice parts and we even occasionally feature a guitar, flute, two trombones, piano, a full-sized jazz band, large SATB choruses and even a symphony orchestra.

We are a male, mostly a cappella ensemble that performs in Aiken, SC and around the CSRA (Central Savannah River Area). We have taken it as our task to help develop a culture of singing in our town.

We have established what we call “Boys Choirs of Aiken Country”, BCAC for short.  Under that umbrella, we sponsor “all-comers” Boys Choirs at Chukker Creek Elementary (Boundary Boys), East Aiken School of the Arts (No Boundaries) and North Aiken Elementary (North Boundary).  We also founded a county-wide auditioned group called “Bound to Sing”.

We have established an endowed scholarship for music students at the University of South Carolina, Aiken (USCA)  and award annual scholarships of $1000 to a worthy music student. We support local musical groups with our money and time. We support the Aiken Center for the Arts and local charities with our voices and perform for clubs and churches throughout the area. We commission choral works. We collaborate on musical projects with many local choral and instrumental groups.
